Scarecrow Festival - Harpole

Thank you to the helpers at the Scarecrow Festival over the weekend.
- Jim and Catherine for their help in assembling the gazebo and blowing up the balloons.
- Brian and Jane for the fantastic children's tombola.
- Eileen for the wonderful scarecrow and pre-loved teddys.
- Sue and Alan - helping on the tombola.
Saturday: Weather and crowds were much better than expected to the extent that we ran out of balloons and tombola prizes by 4pm.
I also got a bit sunburnt. Stupid!
Income: Tombola £180, Donations £86 (often for the balloons)
Sunday, cloudy but not cold.
We offered pre-loved teddys for donations and sold some of our stock Gas Monkey T Shirts and caps. Quite a few donations.
Income: Soft Toys £144, Donations £72 (includes badges & Gas Monkey stuff)
Of course it's not really about the money, although it helps, it's about promoting our support group and prostate cancer awareness. We certainly did that!
