Groove on the Green, Walgrave - 2018

A great afternoon on Saturday at the Groove on the Green, Walgrave.
A lovely summer day, lots of families, and great music which got better and better as the day wore on.
Shame we had to leave at 5:00 pm as it was a really great atmosphere.
Visitors were attracted to our stand by the free balloons for children and our Soft Toy Tombola.
Much to my surprise, the tiny teddies I bought in error proved to be very popular.
Two interesting points; firstly many of the people who came to our stand had never heard of us and secondly the men coming to our stand were a bit younger than at Blisworth.
Our aim this year is to promote our support group and prostate cancer awareness; I think by attending these outdoor events we are more than succeeding.
Many thanks to the events team of Catherine, Jim, Bernard, John, Barry, Brian, Jayne, and Eileen for helping.
As usual, the general public have been most generous with their donations of £49.67 and we collected £37.00 on the Tombola.
