Weston Favell Shopping Centre - 5th May 2018

The Weston Favell Shopping Centre event was simply to promote ourselves and prostate awareness. So, it was a bit of surprise that we received donations of 93.75 pounds; people just wanted to give and show their support. In fact it was often the ladies coming up to us, donating and then sharing their experience of a loved one with or who had died from prostate cancer…
Meeting - 1st May 2018

Our most succesful meeting this year with 36 attendees. The photo shows our committee member Jayne Phillips presenting a small gift to the speaker Mr Liaqat Chowoo, Consultant Urology Surgeon, Bedford Hospital who gave a very interesting talk on the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. Many thanks to Mr Chowoo who stepped in at very short notice, especially as we later learned that he would be travelling to India on the following day…
